Dead End Degree

Today on our way to get some grub, I was riding mindlessly in the backseat (forgot to call shotgun!) and I was thinking (yes, I know, this can be a dangerous thing)

I am going to school to get my AA in general studies. Really? What the hell for? To which I would normally reply, to have a degree, DUH! But really, what does a degree in "general studies" say about you? That you're a moron who can't make up your mind and obviously have nothing better to do with your money so you give it to Sallie Mae, because lets be honest, who pays cash for classes anymore!?

Now this is the sad part, in high school I was a great student, sure I was a smart ass slacker, but I got mostly A's. I was to be valedictorian! Did you hear me? VALEDICTORIAN!!

I was freaking smart people! (My senior class consisted of 7 people! hehehe) But then I was kicked out of my Christian school and forced to go to a public school for the SECOND SEMESTER OF MY SENIOR YEAR!! Public school! They have guns and stuff there! Aaahhh!!! Anyway, that's a post for another day! When I graduated from high school I had the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, basically I had a 100% full ride to whatever college in Florida I wanted to go to. Being the super intelligent being I am, I put that puppy to good use and went to COMMUNITY college and dropped out the second semester of my sofomore year. Seriously? Why didn't someone knock me out?! I was such a spoiled, self centered little brat!

So here I am, paying out the wazoo for the same classes that I took before for FREE! And all for a degree in GENERAL STUDIES!

I think I must be a sucker for punishment. Maybe it's my tight shoes that got me thinking..

At any rate, I am set to graduate in May. With a degree that is basically good for nothing. Considering I'm at a dead end job, don't get me wrong I love my job, but I can't move up in my job and after 2 pay raises I'm only making an extra .60 cents an hour! And once we spawn another child I plan on being a stay at home mom again, so really, what the hell will I ever do with my general studies degree??

I'm obviously a moron who likes to give their money to Sallie Mae =(

Today...

..for some reason I do not know, I decided to dress up a bit.

I got a new shirt from walmart (hey, I'm not too proud!)It's similar to this one

it's a cute little plaid top. I decided to dress it up with some dark jeans and some brown shoes.

I got the brown shoes when Muscles took me shopping for some new church clothes awhile back, then we went looking for new shoes. In true fashion of trying to make my dollar go it's farthest I was checking out the sales! I fould some good ones! I got a pair of nice nine west shoes onsale! A serious bargain I couldn't pass up! The catch? They are a tad too small. Wtih them being so cute I convinced myself, look, we can make this work! I'll lather up with lotion and only wear nylons with them... I really should have known better.

Guess which shoes I picked out to wear this morning! Guess who decided to wear socks with the shoes because it is snowing outside and I didn't want to lose any of my little piggys. Guess who is regretting the aforementioned decisions?! My feet are KILLING ME!!

(But I still think my outfit is cute!) I think I'll have to invest in some knee highs if I'm ever going to wear these again! And I can't just slip them off under my desk because my boss is a damn eskimo and keeps it cold enough to build igloos in here!!

But he is taking us out to lunch today "as a Christmas/ New Years celebration" so I can't complain too much! =)

BONUS: I only have to come into the office for an hour tomorrow!! WOOP!! And I get Friday off =)


HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ME INDEED!!

Looongest Day EVER!

So I'm pretty sure today has been THE longest day ever! I have been extemely busy at work all day today, so it's very odd that the day has not flown by, but instead has passed at the speed of a snail!

Oh well.. at least I got everything done that I wanted to..

And by everything I mean, my house is still a mess and I have thousands of pictures to edit, but at least my projects at the office are semi complete!


So Muscles and I were talking the other day, and I really want to get my body back to its pre-pregnancy state, actually that's a false statement, after I had Ace I did get my body back! Then I became addicted to devil cakes (OREOS) and well.. here I am.. wanting to lose 15 lbs again.

So Muscles came up with a great motivator! A few months ago he told me that if I toned up and achieved my goal weight he would give me $200 to go towards bikinis for this summer (growing up in Florida I basically LIVED in bikinis! So it is depressing for me to not feel comfortable frolicking about in one), ON TOP OF THAT! he said he will take me shopping for some new clothes [[yaaayyy]], AND the cherry on top? Well an i-phone of course!

Seriously, if that's not the worlds best motivation, well then I just don't know what is!

Sooo.. what have I had to eat today? A cutie (it's a little orange), and some fruit snacks this morning and a salad and soup for lunch. I'm not sure what I'll be having for dinner, but I'm assuming chicken-something and a salad. I will also be working out tonight since I didn't get a very good workout in this morning.

Can't wait to share my progress and possibly some photos.. and look for my winnings in the future when Muscles gives me my motivations =)

For now.. you'll have to settle for these..

Yep.. I'm pretty much in heaven! I have been snapping pictures until my finger bleeds, okay not really, but you get the picture (haha get it! Pun intended! lol) I took 900+ pictures the first day I had it (which also happened to be Christmas Day, so that's a perfectly logical excuse to take that many pictures! Thankyouverymuch)

Once I get to edit a few more pictures I'll put them up here for you to marvel at, because well I'm just nice like that =) I took some good ones tonight of little dude so I'll have to get my butt in gear and post those soon. Good news, sonce school is out right now I should be able to find time! WHOOP!

Have I mentioned how super stoked I am to graduate in May!? It just can't come soon enough!

(( & please pray for my sister in law, she is almost 5 months pregnant and just had a test come back positive for a rare birth defect called anencephaly. They are doing an ultrasound January 5th to determine the gender and take a closer look at the baby's brain. I will keep you updated))
